The Wiley X Profile is the prescription work safety glasses that you can sport without looking too informal, and still retaining the classy, trendy look. These glasses feature a frame that is made from nylon, which is a highly stable, lightweight and breakage-resistant material. It also offers great hypoallergenic properties. The frame has a rectangular shape and a single bridge, and comes equipped with its own protective case and soft cleaning cloth. The frame also had removable side shields that offer lateral protection while at work or while engaged in outdoor sports activities.

The high impact test involves dropping a pointed 500-gram weight onto glasses on a head form from a height of about 50 inches. High velocity testing involves shooting a quarter-inch steel ball at 20 impact points on safety glasses at a speed of 102 miles per hour.
When Profile glasses are worn with the included side shields, this eyewear also meets the U.S. federal OSHA 1910.133(b)(1)(1) standard set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Removable polycarbonate WorkSight™ Side Shields are sold with Wiley X Profile safety glasses for additional lateral protection. Side shields for every frame color are made of clear plastic. The frames feature adjustable wire core temple tips for increased comfort when wearing glasses with or without shields. A drawstring pouch for removable shields is included with each pair of Profile glasses.
Profile safety glasses worn with side shields satisfy OSHA standards for Occupational and Educational Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices. Permanent side shields are sold separately. WorkSight™ replacement or permanent side shields are compatible with all Profile frames.
